Donald Trump is spending less but winning more — doling out a fraction of what other presidential contenders plunked down on campaign expenses last month while raking in more delegates than his GOP foes.
The Republican front-runner shelled out around $9.5 million on political advertising, direct mail and other expenses in February, according to the Federal Election Commission.
By comparison, party rival Ted Cruz went through $17.5 million and John Kasich went through $3.6 million last month, records show.Yet Trump is leading the GOP pack with 680 delegates, compared with Cruz’s 424 and Kasich’s 143.
